The Ten Commandments of Bingo
Number one: Thou shalt honor and respect thy bingo chat leader.
There will be no cussing in the bingo chat at the bingo chat leader. If the bingo chat leader speaks to you or asks you a question you must answer. Do not blame the bingo chat leader if you do not get a bingo, it is not their fault. Do not badger the bingo chat leader regarding bingo account issues you are having when you know all too well you should have emailed bingo support.
Number two: Thou shalt not use caps.
The only person in the bingo chat room who should be using capital letters is the chat leader. The bingo chat leader needs to be seen by every player, hence must always use caps. Any other bingo player who uses caps in the bingo chat room will be asked to turn off their caps and not shout. The bingo chat leader and also the bingo roomies can see what you are saying without having to turn on your caps.
Number three: Thou shalt not cuss at the other bingo players.
Cussing is prohibited at all times in the bingo chat room. If the bingo chat leader sees any player cussing, they will be muted and then possibly booted out of the bingo chat room. Cuss to yourself and not in chat.
Number four: Thou shalt not have an inappropriate alias.
It may be offensive to the other bingo roomies in chat if you have an alias that is deemed inappropriate.
If you are using an alias that has a curse word or sexual undertone in the bingo chat room, you will be promptly asked to leave chat and go email support to change your bingo alias.
Number five: Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's bingo win.
If you have not won a bingo, it's unfair to be angry at another bingo player who has. It is certainly not their fault that you are not winning bingo. It's all luck.
Number six: Thou shalt acknowledge thy neighbor's bingo.
If another player gets a bingo, it is your duty as a bingo roomies to congratulate said player and say wtg (way to go) or gg (good going). You would certainly want the same recognition if you won a bingo.
Number seven: Thou shalt not make inappropriate remarks in chat.
This is obvious; you may not make and racial, religious or sexual remarks in chat that may offend the other bingo players. The bingo chat room is made up of many different people from many walks of life. It is an unspoken rule not to discuss racial, sexual or religious issues in the bingo chat room.
Number Eight: Thou shalt not monopolize the bingo chat.
If you are in the bingo chat, please remember to give other bingo roomies a chance to chat as well. A good bingo roomie listens as well as chats.
Number eight: Thou shalt not count down to bingo too early.
If you are waiting for a few numbers then it is fine to start counting down. But please refrain from counting down to bingo from the very beginning of the game. This jams up the bingo chat room and confuses everyone. Also no one can chat if you are counting down that much.
Number nine: Thou shalt not bring down the chat room.
It's fine to talk about your day and even any problems you are having in your life in the bingo chat. But please refrain from commenting about other bingo players wins or complaining and whining that you can't get a bingo. This depresses everyone in the chat room including the chat leader and ruins the karma.
Number ten: Thou shalt not gloat
If you should be lucky enough to get a bingo or two even, please do not gloat. You know yourself how it feels to watch other bingo players win when you can't, so please be gracious about your bingo wins as well as your losses.
